Gaming – Borderlands 3

Another glance – with help!

On Sunday, March 5th, I played with a friend in Vegas. That was cool to begin with! I was anxious to chat in the beginning, as I always feel my English may be too difficult to understand for others. Even though I know it’s well enough to chat while gaming. I just can’t shake the feeling that it may be inadequate. But my friend was very nice and wow! He had great outfits and also a very, very high level. He basically winked at the enemies and they already busted in pieces 😂.

I had a feeling this coop session would be very different from my first one. And it was. I could fight, I tried to do some jumping (yes I still suck at it) and we did several quests. It was awesome and because of his level and gear, we made good progress. He definitely played the game a lot as he knew so much about it. Just like playing ESO with my friend from the US East side. 😊

Gaming – Coop pet peeve

I wrote about some of my gaming pet peeves a while ago. Pet peeves when gaming here it is! A while ago I played some coop with a friend who was definitely not used to playing together and it made me angry. Annoyed at first and when nothing changed after that, it got on my nerves so much… He’s basically a good guy, but this way of acting just didn’t work with me!

I definitely won’t say I’m the best person to play coop with! I make mistakes as well. I mess up. I die. I can’t do certain things due to the bad thumbs/hands. But I definitely try and talk to my team mate to make it work as good as I can! 💪🏼 So this is me talking about co-op, about my triggers for things that don’t work, about my complaints… I usually try to write more positive things, but this kept me busy in the back of my head… So I decided to write about it. Gaming – Borderlands 3

A short first glance.

On February 21st, I believe, Borderlands 3 got added to the PS+ premium lists of playable games. I played a wee bit of Borderlands 1, never the other games (even though I own them). They were intended to be shared coop with my then wife…

I was very curious about the game as I heard many good things. So I gave it a first try with a neighbor friend who was also interested.

Gaming – Minecraft

Getting back…

…and learning more.

I’ve bought Minecraft in 2018. Played it a while with my ex, though I didn’t really know how or what we had to do. But we had fun. I played alone a bit after the divorce. Then I didn’t game too much due to other reasons. In 2020 my Canadian friends helped me get some trophies. But they were so fast with many things that I couldn’t follow and found it harder to learn things from them. So I lost interest again.

And now my Welsh friend is a big Minecraft fan. She plays on Xbox, but the game is crossplay. So I can connect to her using a Microsoft account. I used to have one. But apparently they deactivated it due to reasons. So when we tried to connect, I needed a new Microsoft account to enable the cross play. And that was a journey on its own!

Gaming – Loving the Playstation

I haven’t always been a big gamer. Heck I still don’t consider myself big. Well, in size but not in gaming measurements. I started with a NES. I saved a long time, and when the SNES came out, the NES’ price was reduced and I could afford it.

I played pc games. I borrowed a Commodore 64 and played tonz of games. I played Sega at the neighbors’ kids. I played. But never got to a SNES, Game Cube, PSone or anything like that. I played mostly on PC when I did. And then I was in a polygamous relationship. We all three had an income and a good time. Then I lost my job. I was feeling so down as it meant I couldn’t afford many things anymore.

Xmas came and… My love gave me a PS3!!! I was flabbergasted and so happy!

Gaming – Little Hope

A first few glances/play throughs

When I finished the first Dark Pictures Anthology game Man of Medan, it made sense to get into the second game, Little Hope. My friend whom I enjoyed Man with was very interested in playing this game as well. So we set a date to play it together for the first time. We both went in blind and… We had loads of fun!

I’ll first share the trailer of the game and some copied information. Then I’ll burst loose with some of my opinions and comments. If you want to play the game without spoiling anything, don’t click the read more! There will be some spoilers and I would not want to ruin the experience for you. 😊

I refer to Man of Medan plenty of times. If you haven’t seen my review of the game and you’re interested, I’ll quick link it here 😉 Gaming – Man of Medan.

Gaming – Agatha Christie the ABC Murders

My comments while playing this game…

I found this game while browsing the PS+ collection for point & click games. The reviews were all over the place, but I decided to give it a go. I mentioned this game in an earlier post I made: Gaming – Point & Click (2)

Since I wrote that post I barely played the game. I’ve been depressed, been distracted and the idea of doing those hard puzzles again put me off. I wish I could see the logic in these puzzles and solve them within a few minutes. But one puzzle I had to do took me an hour the first time. And I tried to YouTube it, so I could copy what they did. But with people editing their videos into making it seem they finished within seconds, I miss the whole thing so copying what they did became impossible.

And now I’m replaying the game and I’ll share some of my thoughts on it here. It’s all personal, nothing too serious, I’m not being paid to write this and I just want to share my experiences with this game.

Gaming – Playing on the PS3

I’ve played a whole lot on the PS5 since I got it. I’m loving gaming again and it’s awesome. I’ve also gone back to the PS3, checking on games I started once but haven’t finished yet. There are also a few games on PS+ that I need to finish some day. I may ask my gaming neighbor friend if he wants to game some soon, maybe help me some more with a game we played together before, Lego Indiana Jones 2. 😊 Could always ask…

I saw I was close to finishing CSI Fatal Conspiracy. Why I stopped playing it I don’t know. It is a point and click game by Telltale Games. So I Googled it and got back into it. I love getting the trophies when I can, so I was looking for games with those to play. It doesn’t mean I don’t play games without trophies, but if they have them, I do want to focus on them when I play.

Pet peeves when gaming

I have been writing a lot about me and my gaming. Ever since I got the PS5, my love for gaming rekindled and I’ve been diving into games again, old and new. The new games have more and more accessible options and I love those! They make me able to play more of the games, if not all, without any help. 😊 But the older games, especially those on Playstation 3 and older, they have some irks. But also modern games sometimes have their issues. I wanted to write a bit about my pet peeves and see if it’s just me or if other people experience some of the same.

This post is personal, it’s about me and how I experience my gaming. It’s nothing against any game! Most games with pet peeves I still am able to enjoy! And some remain my favorites, despite the peeves… This is about me and my struggles. About how I would think some games could be even more accessible. For me, at least… I struggle with bad hands and a slow response time to things happening on screens. More about that here: Gaming struggles.

Distraction and gaming

As you’ve probably noticed, since I got the PS5, my focus on gaming has been more present again. Which can be a good thing, because it means I’m not all the way down in my depression. I hope I can keep some focus on gaming as it gives me pleasure. And that pleasure can make my depression bouts less strong, less severe. I’ve tried to focus on one game, finish that and then move on. But… Mission didn’t succeed…

I was hyper-focused on Man of Medan for a while. Printing pages, making notes. And the silky thing is, I’m soooo close to getting my last trophies and now… I kinda lost interest 🤔
