A while ago I was looking for cool games to play. Not that I’m finished with all those I was already playing 😂. Never heard of a gaming backlog? You start new games because they seem exciting and then you play that and… There’s that other game as well…
Currently I have several games open for playing. I want to finish Horizon Zero Dawn and continue Horizon Forbidden West. I also want to continue Biomutant, Astro’s Playroom and Diablo II Resurrected. I want to 100% Man of Medan and Paw Patrol On a Roll. So much to play, so little time. Well, actually, if my hands allow, I have quite some time to spend. But I keep myself busy with other things as well. 😇
Sooooo Deliver Us the Moon. Let me share some information I found online about the game. As some sites are way better with words than I am.
Deliver Us The Moon is a Sci-Fi thriller set in an apocalyptic near-future where Earth’s natural resources are depleted. In an effort to solve the energy crisis, global powers created the World Space Agency and secured a promising new source of energy on the moon.

The World Space Agency colonized and operated from the moon until one fateful night all communications with Earth ceased and the energy source was lost. Now, years later, you assume the role of Earth’s last astronaut on a do-or-die mission to investigate what happened and save humanity.
During this adventure, your only companion is a small robot named ASE. Together you will traverse the moon, explore abandoned facilities, gather clues and ultimately uncover the secrets and hidden agendas of those long gone!
Will you save mankind or be forgotten in the dark abyss of Space?

I heard it was a Dutch game, which made me even more excited to play it. I started the game and the introduction looked rather beautiful. So when I finally got the controls, I was eager to play. But within a short time, I looked up a guide. They game tells you what to do, but it can be challenging to know how to do that. It could be just me as I’ve never been that good with games. But I could have used a little more guidance. I found a decent YouTube video and I just watched bits of that and tried do copy. Some things were definitely tricky with my thumbs. Like getting three dials turned within a very short time. But with several tries I finally got it.
The game looks absolutely stunning on my PS4 with a simple 4K TV. When we got to space, I needed a few goes to dock at the station. That’s when the game got more challenging for my hands. The weightlessness bit was harder to steer. And some things run on a timer, making me needing to do it more often. And that was hard, so I could not play too long unfortunately.
The game does have some trophies to earn and without trying, my short play time gave me a few.
Of the people registered to the PSNprofiles.com site, 50% got all trophies, so it could mean it’s not that hard but of course, they don’t have my hands and bad timing 😂. I’ll just follow the guide when I play next and see how many I will get just trying out the game for the first time.
So it looks great. And I’m liking the story so far. But it can be quite a puzzle (obviously the game’s intention 😉). I’m glad for guides/walkthroughs, but that’s just how I play. If you’re not needing them or hate using them, more power to you. I’ll try things on my own but if I fail several times, I’ll look for help. I have limited time due to my lower energy and bad hands, so trying to make the most of that.
I’ll definitely try this game again, but I need my hands to have a good day then. Because floating in space makes the controls harder, at least for me.
Have you played it? What do you think? Please post no spoilers but I’d love to hear about your experience. 😊
A second game is out soon, February 2nd 2023, called “Deliver us Mars”.
Did you play the first one and are got getting this one when it releases?

I think I’ve spoken about this before. Found this by accident when I was on PS + Extra last year. It’s not too long and I enjoyed the story. Plus it’s all puzzle based so there was no worrying fast action to get in a knot over. I was quite surprised when I finished it. Yeah, a good little game.

It looks really lovely. I didn’t play since I wrote this, got distracted by other games again, the joy of my gaming adhd 😂
But it was hard on my hands, which was a shame. Guess I’ll try again when the weather is warmer and my hands hurt a little less.
Glad you enjoyed it so much. If I should need any assistance 😉 I’ll call you 😇 haha.

I got the Platinum in this game a few months ago. I was surprised how much I enjoyed the story and game overall. There are a few points where the game is challenging in space, but I think they are the same points you talked about. I’m hyped for the sequel. Hope you enjoy the journey.

Owwww congrats! Yeah some bits were hard on me. I still need to go back to the game. But I have adhd and my interests in games jumps around a lot. Either I get hyper focused on them or I keep jumping from game to game 😊.
I’ll definitely plan on going back to the game. And to write a better review if I ever finish it.
Thanks for sharing your experience. The sequel sure looks promising!
Thank you!

I’m definitely the same with how I game. I am always playing multiple games at the same time and start more games then I finish. I think I’m getting better with it since I’ve been reviewing them on my site haha

Yes! Planning to write about it always makes me play it more. I don’t want to play it for like 5 minutes and then act like I played it for 5 hours. When I just started a game that I found interesting, I’ll write about my first glance, like I did with this one. 😊
It’s always cool to meet fellow gamers on here! If I get stuck with Deliver Us the Moon I’ll know who to call 😉 haha.
